Planning application submitted for West of Ifield

Overview

Homes England’s hybrid planning application for 3,000 homes for the development of Land West of Ifield has now been validated by Horsham District Council marking an important milestone in delivering much needed homes, infrastructure and community facilities for the area.   The application and all its supporting documents can be viewed at https://public-access.horsham.gov.uk/public-access/ - Reference DC/25/1312.

The hybrid application outlines plans for a sustainable, high quality community to the West of Ifield providing:

• 3000 new homes including affordable housing to meet local needs
• Green spaces and park land preserving and enhancing bio-diversity
• New schools including a much needed secondary school, primary school and community amenities
• Improved transport links and active travel routes to support sustainable movement 
• Infrastructure investment including utilities, water management and drainage

The proposal reflects extensive engagement with residents, stakeholders and statutory consultees over the last 5 years.  Feedback has played a key role in shaping the vision for a balanced, sustainable development that integrates with the existing communities while addressing the region’s housing challenges.
