Character area: The Meadows

Overview

This area is defined by Meadow Park at its centre which would feature allotments and play spaces and offer a mix of housing types; from lower density areas, to apartments. Meadows Park will be characterised by buildings with a maximum height of four storeys, feathering into the landscape. Lower buildings (maximum three storeys) are proposed toward the edges of the development. The area will be low density, with larger garden sizes, particularly in areas with a higher presence of existing trees creating a harmonious relationship with the surrounding natural landscape and woodland areas.

Ifield Brook and Ifield Brook Meadows are retained and protected. Housing along the boundary will respect the sensitive landscape setting.
